Father's Day! 2012

Yes, Father's Day was in June. Yes, it's almost the end of August. Nothing too exciting happend, but I wanted to take a minute and write about what a great dad we have in our family.
The boys worked hard on making Brett cards for Father's Day. Dax made an "I LOVE YOU THIS MUCH" card with his cute hand prints!
Isaac made a cute flip card book about his dad in school... he had it saved for months!
Then, Isaac got the idea to make a poppy flower card just for his dad.
We also gave him a hat and 18 holes of golf ...if he could ever manage to make it over there to play all 18!
We just love Brett. He is so much fun. The boys adore him and can't be without him. Brett and Isaac always go golfing together which makes Dax sad that he can never go. Brett felt so bad he took him one day and took them ALL golfing. I can't even imagine trying to have both boys on a golf cart and helping them and playing the game. He is such a great dad. Dax hangs on him the minute he gets home from work. Brett will spend hours playing catch with Isaac and Dax in the backyard. I just love their little bonds they have with their dad. I can't wait for the 3rd boy to come along in a couple of weeks because this kid has a great dad to look up to and play with! Brett, we love you so much and are so grateful you take care of our family. You work so hard for us. We love you!!!

Dansie Family Reunion Day 3

Day 3 of our reunion, Brett had to work. It was his first Saturday EVER that he has worked. They aren't even open that day, but he had an important meeting.  So Brett went to work and the rest of us went to Adventure Learning Land in Highland. I went there all the time growing up with my Grandpa Milt on his motorcycle to feed the ducks, so it was fun being there again!

The kids rode with Grandpa and Rob to Adventure Learning Land. Quite the bike ride for Isaac! It was mostly up hill too! I was so proud of him for going the whole way. I think it was a couple of miles.
We aren't great fisherman, I don't know really know much about it. I thought my grandpa used marshmallows... an old fisherman trick! So I brought those. Come to find out, my mom said he used marshmallows to make his worms float and wiggle more. Oh. So I guess thats why the fish weren't biting Isaac's marshmallows! All for the practice, right?
Isaac has always wanted a fishing pole and a year ago I promised my gramps I would buy him one. Isaac was so excited to have it! Grandpa LaMonte helped him learn how to cast and throw his string out to the fish.
Dax thought he would practice fishing too. I brought along his plastic fishing pole and fish.
We brought a loaf of bread to feed the ducks and I'm so glad we did cause we used the whole thing!  We started with one or two ducks, but the minute word got out we had bread, I think the whole flock came a runnin'!!!!
Dax loved the ducks. They would get pretty close. We even saw a mommy duck and her little babies! They were all very hungry!
Dallin and Isaac were dedicated fisherman! They never gave up! I wish we could have caught a fish. They would have really loved that. Maybe next time.
Uncle Brandon even helped Isaac with his fishing. They even tried some slimy bate this time.
The kids had fun watching the ducks. I love this picture of them all!!!
I snapped this picture of Nancy and LaMonte. I thought it was so cute the two of them sitting on the bench chatting together.
Dax and grandma had a little walk.
Grandma bought some butterfly nets that the kids loved! They went on a hunt catching bugs in the trees and grass. Em had a butterfly bag they kept their bugs in until it was time to let them go.
We ended the morning with lunch by the lake. It was so pretty and the kids had a ball together.
After some naps, the babies were all rested. Dax showed his cousin Tayven the ipad.  It was Father's Day weekend so the kids had a few surprises for their dads.
I snapped this picture of Brett and his siblings with their dad. It turned out cute.
The kids sung "I'm so glad when daddy comes home" and gave their dad's giant cards they made.

They all made grandpa one too.
For dessert we made a special Father's Day treat. Lawn mower cupcakes! They turned out so cute.
The cupcakes were a big hit! (and the kids had fun making them.)
They liked eating them too!

Daddy's Day!

I don't think we could have asked for a better dad around our house. Brett is such an amazing dad!
On Father's Day the boys surprised him with a Kindle Case and a new white shirt. He looked pretty sharp! Isaac made endless amounts of cards for his dad. He finally told me it was a good thing Father's Day came cause he did a lot of work! We made Brett a yummy salmon dinner and had cinnamon rolls that were super yummy.
I love the expression on the boys faces. Dax is not even close to smiling and Isaac looks like he's going to bust from smiling too big! Honestly, I say it all the time, but I'm so thankful for Brett. I don't know what we would do without him. We consume all of his time and he never complains. He is so darling with the boys and they adore him. He's happy, patient, funny, helpful, hardworking, forgiving, loyal, and loving.  I'm grateful he loves the Gospel and lives by it in everything he does. He sets such a good example for us all. We love him so much, he's the best dad we could ask for. Happy Father's Day Brett!

I do have to mention what wonderful dad's Brett and I have. I think the world of both my dad and LaMonte. They are both amazing examples of father's and two of the most christlike people I know. Thanks for being such great dads!

Happy Father's Day Brett! 2009

Ok, so I'm a little behind on my blogging (alright, a lot behind) but I couldn't go on until I took the time to say Happy Father's Day to my sweet husband! He does so much for Isaac and me and I don't know if he every really knows how much we love and appreciate him!

Isaac made Brett a special Father's Day card. He cut out shapes and glued them onto his card. He turned his big shape into a rocket-ship. Then he made windows and drew a picture of Brett and him in each window. He even colored fire under the rocket. Just the other night we were starting a movie and they showed a picture of the world. Isaac looked at me and said, "I wish dad and I could go around the world in a rocket-ship together!" Isaac adores his dad and can barley wait long enough until Brett gets home from work everyday. The minute he hears the garage open, Isaac is running out to greet him.

Together in St. George at the Splash Park

I just love watching them together. They are not only partners in crime, but best buddies.

Brett is so patient with Isaac. He takes him anywhere he goes and let's him do anything he's doing. Isaac is always out doing yard work with daddy just to be next to him.

I love that Brett is so carefree and easy going. Brett is constantly being mauled, squished, and sat on by Isaac and I know he enjoys every minute. (I hope he still feels that way when there are two boys jumping all over him.) I can't wait until our next baby boy is born. Brett is the greatest husband and father I could ask for. I know he has always wanted boys and I love watching him be a dad!

I love you Brett! Thanks for all you do to provide and take care of our family. I don't know what I would do without you!
