Isaac's Preschool Field trip to the Zoo! 2011

The Zoo has some "free" days to the Zoo on certain days of the month during the winter. It's to help giveback to the community.  I had told Miss Angela about this and we decided it would be a fun fieldtrip! So at the end of February, we went. It looks cold, but suprisingly it was a really nice day! Just a little chilly.
Isaac does have more kids in his class then this, they just trickled in a little late!

We had to get a classic "head in the mouth of a lion" picture. Though Isaac was sad that the fountains weren't turned on.
Isaac can almost be a gorilla himself!

The elephants weren't out much, so we improvised with sitting on a fake one!

Everyone rode on the carousel. I was a designated picture taker, so I ran around the carousel while it was spinning snapping pictures of everyone. Good thing I like spinny things!

The Tigers were out! Every time I go they are always asleep! They were walking by everyone and roaring their loud roars! I was so impressed. They are so big! With everyone standing around it was hard to get Isaac and the tiger in a decent picture, but I thought this one with him posing was so darling, who needs the real tiger!
Isaac and Trevan spent most of the time together and they loved the giraffes! They would get so close to us, I wanted to reach out and touch them! Isaac insisted that we go down and look at their feet. They are much smellier down below!
Isaac's hand still has a ways to grow before he catches up to the gorillas hand. The boys were fascinated with the gorilla. He was inside and he was tearing apart and eating a cardboard box. He was fast. If he dropped it up high, he would grab it with his toes. He was so fun to look at.
After lunch, the kids played for a while at the discovery park. They loved sitting in the egg.

And being a turtle. (However, the turtle isn't far from the truth! For some reason, this age group can be super fast or sooooo slow!) It was a fun day! We had a ball!

Fun on the Farm - Final Preschool Fieldtrip!

Isaac went on his last Preschool Fieldtrip this month. They went to the Thanksgiving Point Farm. It was packed with a million other fieldtrip classes! Who knew that would be the thing to do that day?

Isaac liked petting the cow - until he moved his giant head right in his face! ha!

He sat on a fake sheep, like he does every year. I could make a collage of all the years he has sat on this sheep!

We attempted to get a class picture... umm, that was eventful!

Miss Angela came all prepared to tell the kids interesting facts about all of the animals, but with how many kids there were, she didn't get to tell us them. Since I was standing by her, I was the lucky one that found out Lama's make really good pets! They were so sweet and the boys were just crazy trying to fee them.

Wyatt, Jake, and Isaac trying to all feed the Lama!

Jake and Isaac playing in the house.

They put themselves in Jail.

They rode a hay-ride, but it was not nearly as fun as riding a horse. We had a couple extra adult tickets when the field-trip was over, so we hung back and let they boys take a ride!

Wyatt, Trevan, Jake, and Isaac waiting to ride the ponies.

Daxton was a trooper. I of course dressed my boys in shorts, but when we got there the weather turned cold and so Dax had to stay bundled up under blankets, he was a trooper!

This is the first year Isaac didn't choose to ride on Chief!!! He chose a new little pony to ride. This is Clancy. He was very nice.

They name their ponies some of the funniest names! Jake rode Elvis, Trevan rode Tator, and Wyatt rode Sugar Bay.

I think the kids had a great time. They are such cute little friends!

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip!

After the fire-station, Isaac and I went with my nephew Josh on his field trip to the pumpkin patch cause his mom couldn't make it. (Yes, it was a lot of field trips at once.) And lucky me, it rained right before getting to the pumpkin patch! Not what you want when its in a dirt field.

The pumpkin patch had so much to do. They had a whole play ground the kids could climb over and under things. Josh is so fast, he gave me a run for my money! Thus making it hard to snap pictures of him like his mom wanted. Isaac enjoyed looking at the goats and ducks, climbing in a pumpkin and picking out his own. They even went through a haunted house which Isaac thought was so fun. (Not your typical haunted house as it was filled with lights and blow up pumpkins.)

Josh, loved running and swinging. He hated when his teachers made him look at the animals and REALLY hated trudging through the mud and picking up a muddy, wet pumpkin. It was really the last thing he wanted to do, he just stared at the pumpkin looking very disgusted and annoyed they were making him hold it. But it made for some funny pictures to show his mom!

Field Trip to the Fire Station!

Last week Isaac went on his second field trip with his preschool class. They went to the fire-station because it is fire safety month. Miss Angela had them make a fire hat and necklace and they all wore them on their field trip.

They got to sit in the fire truck!

The firemen showed them all kinds of tools they use...
like the jaws of life, very heavy!

They watched how fast a fireman could get dressed. They also went over what to do if you were in your stuck in your house and heard a fireman. If you ask Isaac what to do he will tell you not to hide and shout, "I'm over here!!!"

The lighting is just terrible in the fire-station,
but here is Isaac wearing the fireman hat!

It started to rain, but we had the kids sit on the front of the truck for a quick picture. There are only 2 girls in his class (one was missing) and  7 boys!

This was my favorite part of the field trip. At the first they had the kids pretend they were sleeping (on a hard block) and the fire alarm rang. They had to practice what they would do. Isaac did this with his friends Jake and Trevan, I thought it was so cute!

Field Trip to the Library!

Isaac is loving preschool. He had his first field trip to last month to the Lehi Library. They got to tour the library and learn about how to find books, how to take care of them, and what happens to books that aren't taken care of.

Miss. Linda was the tour guide. She had them line up like a train and she would blow her train whistle and chug around the library.

Here she was trying to explain how to find a book about Dinosaurs... obviously the kids were so excited at that point. Isaac and his friend, Jake were too busy chatting with each other. (He's so my kid!)

She took them back to circle time and they sang, danced, and got their wiggles out.

Then she read them a story about a giant snake who needed a bath. Isaac thought the stuffed snake was so silly. She also did some magic tricks for them, which they loved! She asked them so many questions. One of them was, "Does your teacher teach you how to count?" Isaac shouted, "NO!" Miss Angela looked a little shocked... I know she does! What a stinker.

They gave the kids a Super Why bookmark (which Isaac didn't care much about) but they also gave the kids a sheet of Super Why stickers... well that was a hit and he used them the minute he got home. It was a very fun field trip!
