Dax loves toys. He rumages through the his closet and finds all kinds of treasures. He loves the stick horse, little action figures, snakes (because he loves to scare people) and now he found binoculars. He walks everywhere with them. He looks at them through the wrong end because he can see the whole picture of what he's looking at... it's smaller, but to him it works. He's had to learn the hard way, he can't walk and look through them at the same time. He bumps into a wall when that happens! He also loves hoods. If we walk outside and he feels any bit of cold, he says, "my hat!! my hat!!"
He loves the ipad. He actually is pretty violent when he wants it and someone else has it. He can work it just as well as I can. If Brett is using it he walks up to him and says, "my kitty!" (He has a kitty game he loves to play. You put words together and he's good at it!) Then he proceeds to push Brett and pull it away until he gives in... which his dad is a push over for Daxton and always gives in. He's such a pill!
Daxton doesn't know how to smile when you say "smile." He tries.. but his real smiles are so much cuter. He likes to show off his art now. It's rare when it's on a piece of paper... (and I am happy when it is!) But he is really proud of his work. He tends to draw on walls, floors, keyboards (with permanent marker!!!) and other objects that he should not be drawing on.
He is always busy and always trying to keep up with Isaac. He hates to be left out. If Isaac is going up the street to play, Isaac wants to go with him. Every now and again we let him and Isaac takes good care of him. Dax loves to run and when he does he shouts, "ready, set, go!" He seems like he is a quiet angel... according to my sisters, and he can be. But at home he is sooooo loud! My goodness. He shouts at the top of his lungs at his brother. If Isaac is bugging him, he knows how to hold his own. One day Isaac was teasing him and holding a toy way up high. Dax was sick of him being mean. He happened to be holding a big metal train in his hand. He had whined and cried and Isaac didn't stop teasing him so Dax took that train and smacked right on top of the head. Isaac burst into tears (which I don't blame him! It sounded like it hurt!) Then I looked at Dax and he was quiet as a mouse with a very satisfied look on his face. Oh, the joy of boys. And that's how life is.
