We got together with my family the night of the 24th. My dad bought a little fire-pit for everyone to roast marshmallows and Starbursts candy. My mom saw somewhere you could buy GIANT marshmallows the size of your fist and she really wanted her grandkids to roast them. We couldn't find those exact ones, but we found ones that were double the size of a normal marshmallow. They were pink and white. While we were eating our smores, Brett asked me why his smore tasted fruity. I had no idea what he as talking about until we realized the pink marshmallows were strawberry flavored!

Isaac seemed to enjoy roasting and eating his marshmallow!

Isaac, Acacia, and Zander cuddled up in a blanket waiting for the fireworks to start!
Ashley, Isaac, and Brett watching the fireworks!
Zander and Isaac being silly during the fireworks!

Me and my cute parents!

When the fireworks were done, Isaac still had a lot of energy. Brett leaned over to kiss me and it didn't seem to phase Isaac in the least... he's such a little monkey!

Looks like lots of fun! There's nothing like a good firework show and smores....mmmm. I will be around for most of August.
Wow Ashley! You've had a VERY active summer. I didn't realize I hadn't checked your blog in so long. There were 17 new posts! My favorites - BIG marshmallows of course (in keeping with my love of all things oversized or very small), Isaac's rejection of your first grown garden tomato (very funny), and the hamburger/fry dessert! Loved the umbrella in the car too - good tip, and all the funny Isaac faces!
