Gardner Village

At the first of this month Nancy thought it would be fun to take the grandkids up to Gardner Village to see the witches. I thought it sounded like fun because I have never been.  From this first picture to the last picture, you will see just how fun it was!

Isaac loves pumpkins!  There were so many to sit on, pose on, and knock on (like a watermelon).  He thought they were so great!  This was at the first.... before he saw the witches.

Then came the pond and ducks! Who wouldn't love that? Isaac had no problem walking right up to them. He even went to pet them. This terrified me because those ducks looked like they just might turn around and bite his little hand... or the crackers in it! He really wanted them to go swimming and kept shooing them closer to the water. The ducks didn't really feel like jumping in the water which really seemed to irk Isaac. We left them. (Mostly because I was worried he would try to throw one in! haha.)

Then came the witches! They were so fun. Very clever! This one the cat and mouse ran around the witch. Isaac didn't seem to care for them... I think he thought they were big and scary. He may look happy in this picture, but only because Grandma Nancy did something to make him smile. The only witch he cared for was a blow-up witch. It would hide in her pot and then pop back up. He laughed and thought it was great. The rest of the witches he really didn't want to be around. Actually, when the other kids were looking at witches he opted to sit on his giant rock. He liked it better.

Who doesn't like a giant rock?

This is his little cousin, Squiggle - 1 year old, and no problem sitting next to the giant witch! I tried to get Isaac to sit next to this witch and Squiggle, but no such luck. He hated the witch and wouldn't even think about sitting next to it! When I tried to sit by her with him, that even made him more mad!

He did however like sitting in this bathtub, pretending to take a tubby and throwing rocks. After we sat and sat and SAT here... he was pretty mad at me when we moved on.

We thought it would be fun for the kids to sit next to the pumpkins.... once again, doesn't Isaac look thrilled to be here!? He wasn't alone, Buddy his cousin didn't want his picture taken either, at least not with everyone else.  Then comes the icing on the cake. My sister in law, Emilee snapped this pleasant picture of my son at the end of our visit. This was after many fits and really taking in the atmosphere of Gardner Village...

Looks like fun huh!? This is not my normal, happy Isaac... definitely a new side of him! If you haven't seen the witches, it's a really fun trip! Especially with a grumpy 2 year old! Thanks guys!!!

Man, we miss all the fun! I'm sure Breah would have been equally unimpressed with the witches. He sure is cute when he's grumpy though! Miss ya!

I like those happy pics--I never saw that side of him that day LOL! The grumpy pic is so classic--he was so funny about insisting on sitting in that chair and then immediately acting grumpy. Gotta love toddlers!
