Swimming Lesson #4, Ice Cream Scoops!

I guess Isaac's kick, hop, kick wasn't so bad because today we took his floating and added kicking to it! He did it much better if he had a goal to splash someone behind him. Brett came today because he won't be able to come on parents day, which is tomorrow. Isaac would float for him but would get a little distracted cause he wanted his daddy. He also was in the mood to jump, jump, and jump again off the ledge.

We did a lot of songs today. My favorite was "If your Happy and you Know It" they would add on to the end, blow some bubbles, kick your legs, and my favorite, kiss your mom.

We also learned to stoke are arms in the water while swimming, but since it's hard for kids they taught them that the pool was made of ice cream and their hands were ice cream scoops to scoop up all the ice cream, it was a fun little analogy. Isaac can't kick and scoop at the same time, but at age 2, nobody was expecting him to. He would only scoop with one arm though because he hates letting go of my neck and facing forward. Later in the bathtub, he laid on his tummy and scooped the water! It was kind of fun watching him show me what he learned.

Wow it sounds like you have been having quite the summer! It sounds like Isaac is having lots of fun at the swim lessons. I can't believe that summer is almost over, Makayla start pre-school in just a few weeks. I can't believe how fast they grow.
